This is a great situation - if you are looking to add light to a whole room, a 4-pack at less per bulb is very helpful. The narrow angle is great for higher ceilings. I got 2 wide-angle bulbs along with this 4-pack. I am going to return some of the narrow-angle bulbs for wide as it makes for better coverage in my situation - I have 9 foot ceilings and most of my plants are on 4 to 6 foot high tables or shelves, and not directly situated under the can light. I had intended to use gooseneck accessories or eyeball lighting accessories, but the bulbs are quite large and heavy, you really have to check that they will fit and that the weight will not rotate the gooseneck or eyeball fixtures. The wide angle provides a broader coverage and gentler (but still bright and effective!) at the 3-4-5 foot distance from the plants to my fixtures. The narrow angle bulb would be great for plants closer to the floor with a 9 foot ceiling, or higher ceilings. Take into account the plant stand, planter, and if your plant is directly or within a few feet of your can light. You could even draw this out when considering which bulb. I have a few places where my plant may be a little further than ideal from the wide-angle bulb, but it will still be helpful in combination with some light from windows in the winter.
